"My center is the heart of every lover.
Every lover with a heart that loves Baba is a center."

Meher Baba
At Meher Center, 1956

Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,

Loving greetings from Meher Center. We pray all is well with you.

Our hearts go out to those in Florida and elsewhere who are suffering from the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Ian. We are happy to report that the Center experienced minimal damage from the hurricane this past weekend, with minor impact on roofs and fences. At the same time, we have had a great deal of debris from trees and other vegetation spread all around the property. I have included some photos below.

As you have no doubt heard, the Center has been closed during the clean-up. But by Baba's grace, and with a great deal of hard work from staff and volunteers, our doors reopened today. We hope to see you at His 'home in the West' sometime soon.

In Baba’s love and service,

Seminar with Ward Parks:

Creation and Its Causes

From October 21-23, Ward Parks will give a seminar at Meher Center about Baba’s new book, Creation and Its Causes. The book includes never-before-published lectures that Baba gave to the Meher Ashram boys between 1927 and 1928. Ward writes: “Baba unveiled before these fortunate youngsters a strange, vivid, poetical, and highly esoteric account of creation cosmology and the spiritual path unlike anything that He gave before or ever gave after.” Click here for a full description.

Family Letters #42

Read by Edward Henkel

21:10

These are readings of a collection of letters written by Mani, Meher Baba’s sister, to the Western family of Baba lovers between 1956 and 1969.

"Love is the only thing that will counteract worry"

Henry Kashouty, a dedicated lover of Baba, tells his story of coming to Baba. He recounts his own pursuit of higher values and a deep desire to acquire these values. On reading the Bhagavad Gita, he wanted to meet a personification of those values. Right away he saw Baba's face in the book God Speaks and knew that He was God. Henry went on to meet Baba at the Delmonico Hotel in 1956. Through impeccable oration, Henry shares his reflections on the depth of our lives with Baba and the lessons he learned.

"The love that Baba expressed and showered was something very, very unique in one’s life"

In this talk, Adi K. Irani, Meher Baba's Secretary and close disciple, describes how he was drawn to Meher Babathrough his mother Gulmai's influence and Upasni Maharaj's direction. He describes his early days with Baba beginning in 1921. Adi reflects on the love showered on him by Baba as well as the strict instructions given by Baba during the Manzil-e-Meem period.
