"My center is the heart of every lover.

Every lover with a heart that loves Baba is a center."

Meher Baba

At Meher Center, 1956

Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,

Greetings to all from Meher Center. This stretch between Amartithi and Baba’s

birthday is typically a quiet time at the Centera tranquil pause after His

lovers have gathered to celebrate His eternal presence in our hearts at

Amartithi and the time when we gather again to rejoice at the birth of the Ancient One once again on Earth.

Baba’s birthday this year will include two short plays written and directed by Joe DiSabatino and performed over two nights. An announcement will be made shortly about making reservations.

In 1956, soon after arriving in the West, Baba said:

“I feel very happy to be with you all today. It is your devotion that made me come to the West during the period of my seclusion. If anything ever touches my Universal Heart, it is love. I have crossed the limited earthly oceans to bring to you all the limitless and shoreless Ocean of Divine Love. Those who do not dare to love me seek safety on the shores. You who love me are swimming in this Divine Ocean. Love me more and more until you get drowned in me. Dive deep and you will gain the priceless pearl of Infinite Oneness.”*

In Baba’s love and service,

These are readings of a collection of letters written by Mani, Meher Baba’s sister, to the Western family of Baba lovers between 1956 and 1969.

"He was very much at home with you"

In this talk given at Meher Center on Amartithi last week, Irwin Luck shares with us his firsthand account of being present at Baba's internment in February 1969. Amidst his story, he weaves in details of his experiences meeting Baba in person, his father's relationship with Baba, and an engaging explanation of the understanding of consciousness Baba imparted in him.

“Baba gives us the condition, but also helps us to abide by it”

Bal Natu first had Baba’s darshan on a train platform in Nagpur in 1944. He was granted Baba’s permission to visit the ashram anytime, and thus, in the later years, spent his time off from work staying with Baba at Guruprasad and Meherazad. He came to live in Meherazad permanently in 1977, delighting pilgrims with his stories of life with Baba. In this lighthearted recording, Bal shares a few anecdotes about Baba’s message on worry, wrapping up with a humorous story of a time he shared his own worry with Baba.
