Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,
Greetings from Meher Center!
If you are planning on visiting the Center, please check our Annual Calendar for upcoming programs by clicking here.
We are looking forward to having Robert Een as our Artist in Residence next week, from April 17th to 20th. Additionally, Youth Sahavas 2024 is coming up in July! Please click here for information about signing up.
One of Meher Baba’s standing directives for visitors to the Center is: “Please remember that Meher Baba does not wish us to indulge in conversations regarding backbiting, politics, or drugs.” This also means that all visitors must refrain from wearing any clothing or displaying any paraphernalia that expresses a political point of view, as this is clearly intended as a form of political discourse. Politics divides. Meher Center is intended to be a haven where those who visit can feel the unity of God’s love.
Baba said, "When one’s experience of this world is sufficiently mature, however, the repeated disillusionments in life set one on the right track to discover what is missing. From that moment the individual seeks a reality that is deeper than changing forms. This moment might aptly be described as the first initiation of the aspirant. From the moment of initiation into the path, the longing to unite with the source from which he has been separated becomes articulate and intense. Just as the person in the tunnel longs for light all the more intensely after he sees a streak of light coming from the other end, the person who has had a glimpse of the goal longs to hasten toward it with all the speed he can command." *
