"My center is the heart of every lover.
Every lover with a heart that loves Baba is a center."

Meher Baba
At Meher Center, 1956
Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,

Greetings to all from Meher Center. Our annual Youth Sahavas ended this past Sunday afternoon, as the young people who attended headed home after nearly a week’s stay. For participants, it was a time to join together with their peers in an atmosphere of love and acceptance. For the Youth Sahavas staff, made up of young adults, it was a unique opportunity to consciously focus on service to God through the communal creation of a safe and joyous atmosphere.

The theme for the week were Baba’s words: “The Beloved can only be found within you, for His only abode is the heart."

In accepting the opportunity to serve God through serving others, the Youth Sahavas staff were guided by Baba’s words on service:

“Selfless service and love are twin divine qualities. Only the one who loves can serve. Serve your beloved God-Man and you are serving your own Self in every other self. This service which the Master exacts is for your own spiritual benefit. However, your service must be spontaneous, willing, wholehearted, unconditional and not expecting any reward.”*

In Baba’s love and service,

Lovers' Offerings
Family Letters #31
Read by Peter Goodman
16:11

These are readings of a collection of letters written by Mani, Meher Baba’s sister, to the Western family of Baba lovers between 1956 and 1969.
“His gift to me was a stone”
In this talk, Bernard Bruford and his wife Jo-Anne make a detailed presentation on Baba's visit to Australia in 1958. He presents pictures and letters to support the story of the lead-up to Baba's visit and the painstaking preparations made by Francis Brabazon to get Avatar's Abode ready for Baba. Bernard was fifteen years old during this visit when Baba wasted no time in putting his faith to test. His family was then asked by Baba to live at Avatar's Abode along with instructions on how to care for the spot that Baba said would become "a world pilgrimage site."

"Complete understanding and compassion"
In this dynamic talk alongside Eruch, Mani, and the pilgrims in Mandali Hall, Agnes Baron shares the story of Meher Mount and her life with Baba. In the early 1950s, Agnes was disillusioned with spiritual teachers. Nevertheless, she found herself tagging along with a group of Baba lovers to look at a beautiful property in Ojai, California as a potential center for Baba. Agnes would soon meet Meher Baba at Meher Center and become completely devoted to Him. But even before she met Him, after seeing that property later known as Meher Mount, she found herself writing her first letter to Him. It ended with a promise that, if He wanted the property, “I’ll keep it for you through hellfire and damnation.” And, over the decades, she did.
