What is Math Kangaroo?

Math Kangaroo is a fun and engaging international mathematics competition held every year. St. Paul the Apostle (SPA) will host the competition for our registered students on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM on campus.

This exciting event features a 75-minute multiple-choice test with 24 thought-provoking math problems designed to challenge and inspire students in grades 2 and 3. Each participant will receive a small gift and a certificate of participation as a recognition of their effort.

If spots are filled when you try to register, contact us so we can see if we can secure a larger space to accommodate everyone.

Registration Fees:

• $18.00 until December 31, 2024
• $35.00 from January 1 to February 1, 2025

Pre-Competition Support:

To help students prepare, we will offer an after-school curriculum on select Fridays from January to March 2025. This will focus on key Math Kangaroo concepts like problem-solving, patterns, and logic puzzles. The program will be limited to 15 students in grades 2 and 3 and will be led by parent volunteers. Participation in the after-school curriculum is optional, and it is not required for participation in the competition.
