Principal Notes

Dear Parents,

Last Saturday the Strategic Plan Committee met to begin the process of ensuring the success and sustainability of the school for the next six years and beyond.  A wonderful group of dedicated parents, staff, school board members, and PTO spent the day analyzing the past, present, and future needs of the school.  Terrific work is already happening.  I cannot wait to share the results with you in January,

This coming Saturday is Fall Fest!  Our chairs Suzy Oppenborn and Kelly Paulus are working round the clock to make sure that we have a great event.  Their many volunteers have had weekly meetings for months just to plan for Fall Fest.  Please come out and enjoy the community, play lots of games, eat lots of food, and help PTO.  The teachers will be working in the Sweets Booth between four and seven pm so stop by there to say hi and to enjoy a treat.

I’ll see you on Saturday,

Jennifer

Used Uniform Office Hours

The Used Uniform Committee will be holding office hours the 1st Friday of each month. Stop by the PTO Closet, outside of the Ministry Center (at the TK parking lot), on Friday 11/4 and 12/2 from 7:45 am to 8:30 am if you are in need of used uniforms or would like to drop off donations. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Used Uniform Committee at [email protected].

Updated Volunteer Requirements

If your family is on tuition plan A or C, volunteer requirements must be up to date for both parents before service hours can be earned. If you are on a non-service plan but would like to volunteer you must satisfy all volunteer requirements.

We must have the following on file :

  • Current TB
  • Virtus
  • LiveScan

Proof of covid vaccination and/or negative covid test is not currently required to volunteer on campus.

As a reminder, you must be feeling 100% healthy to volunteer on campus. We thank you for your efforts in helping keep our campus safe and healthy.

Service Hours Update 9/12/22

The service hour requirement has been reduced by 4 hours. Tuition plans A and C are no longer required to perform parish service hours. Instead, we encourage you to volunteer at the parish and a maximum of 4 hours will count towards regular school service hours.

30 hours school + 4 hours Fall Fest + 2 Red Tie Benefit hours (when applicable) = 36 service hours total per school year.

Reminders

Tardies and early pick ups

If your child is late because of a doctor or dental appointment, please bring a note to the office from the professional for an excused tardy.

If you pick up your child early, please sign them out at the front desk. If someone other than the parent picks up a child during the school day, we need a note signed and dated by a parent giving that adult permission to take the child out early. This is the case even if they are on the carpool and/or the emergency list. Thank you for understanding that this is to keep your child safe!

Popsicle Fridays

Popsicle Fridays are back! Be sure to send your child to school with $1.00 for a cold treat that will benefit the 8th grade fundraising efforts for the DC trip.

Reporting Absences

When reporting your child out, please state the reason for the absence. Thank you for being a partner in keeping everyone safe!

You can report your attendance to Karen Conley at [email protected].
