Letter from School Board President
Welcome back to school Falcon families! Hopefully, you enjoyed your summer and return ready for the new year.
Thank you, Principal Jennifer Ramirez and all administration and faculty, for working through the break to teach summer enrichment classes and ensure we are ready for remote learning. We know dealing with COVID restrictions is not an easy task and we appreciate your willingness to seek feedback – meet with teachers, survey our parents, bounce ideas off school board – and adjust accordingly. Our school community is blessed by your dedication to our children’s education.
Remote learning is an adventure for us all. Our parents are navigating work-school schedules, learning how to support their children’s learning needs, and assisting our teachers. Thank you, parents, for your willingness to be flexible and your positive attitudes. Your unwavering support is one of our school’s greatest strengths. Please continue to participate in our community by giving your time, talent or treasure and don’t forget to make your voice heard by responding to school surveys.
If you are interested in getting more involved, please consider joining a school board committee. These volunteers help with everything from our school’s budget, building projects, strategic planning, fundraising, and publication relations. It’s a great way for you to make a positive impact our school community. Please contact SPASboardaffairs@gmail.com for more details.

God bless,
Sara Vanis

Letter from PTO Presidents
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year from your PTO Board!

We are already off to a great start. Kicking off our mission of supporting our St. Philip community, Used Uniforms hosted a uniform shirt give away during both days of Meet the Teacher Day. They gave away 150+ shirts for those who needed them.

Our New Family Mentors hosted a “Welcome” virtual meeting to all the new SPAS families where they were able to meet the TK teachers, talk with Mrs. Ramirez and Dr. Aimee and ask questions. Finally, we provided “Coffee and Kleenex” to those new families who might be feeling a little emotional at the start of this year.

Although this year will certainly be different, our PTO mission is to still host events with the goal of uniting our community and keeping our families engaged.

Our Fall Fest team is already off and running with some new ideas for October. Book Fair is looking into new ways to support our school and community.

Our Room Parent Chairs are working with their Classroom Room Parents to host socials and get togethers for the students and parents alike. And Program Planning is also working on various virtual seminars this fall.

Save the date for Pumpkin Patch, which will be held on October 23 on campus. Keep an eye out for the sign up.

If you are in need of School uniforms, please contact the Used Uniform chairs directly at uniforms@stphiliptheapostle.org
