John Hopkins COVID-19 Basics
- Protecting your Health: Johns Hopkins experts offer best practices for protecting your health, the health of others, and preventing the spread of coronavirus.
- New Cases of COVID-19 In World Countries: Countries around the world are working to “flatten the curve” of the coronavirus pandemic. Flattening the curve involves reducing the number of new COVID-19 cases from one day to the next. This helps prevent healthcare systems from becoming overwhelmed. When a country has fewer new COVID-19 cases emerging today than it did on a previous day, that’s a sign that the country is flattening the curve
World Health Organization
- Advice for the public: Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. Most countries around the world have seen cases of COVID-19 and many are experiencing outbreaks.

Quality Incentive Program (QIP)
The ESRD QIP is a pay-for-performance program created
by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS). The Quality Incentive Program is used to promote high-quality services in outpatient dialysis facilities treating patients with ESRD. The QIP determines the way that CMS pays for ESRD treatment; by linking a portion of the payment directly to the facility's performance of quality care measures
.
The ESRD QIP will reduce payments to ESRD facilities that do not meet or exceed certain performance standards. The maximum payment reduction CMS can apply to any facility is two percent.
