New season
New smiles
New stories
New beginnings New opportunities
New hope!
One year ago, at the start of the 2020 season, Operation Motorsport was full of hope, excitement and grand plans.
With 9 beneficiaries, 8 partner teams, and a host of volunteers, board members and partners on site at Daytona, things were really looking up.

Then came Covid-19 and everything came to a grinding halt. We didn't let that stop us though as we pivoted our recovery programs into the virtual.

One year later, we find ourselves into our second full season of the eMotorsport iRacing League by RECARO, with a host of new beneficiaries, veterans and active service members joining our team and although we don't have the same numbers at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, we are here.

And through all of this there is a gem of a success story. In 2017 at our very first US race activation at VIR, an Airborne CW3 by the name of DeWayne Crawford (Crawdaddy), who was still serving at Fort Bragg but transitioning out of the military on a medical discharge, due to suffering from 2 Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), joined the Paul Miller Racing Team to begin his recovery journey through Motorsport Immersion.

This weekend, after a long journey, Crawdaddy starts the 2021 racing season as the Tire Technician for the #31 Whelen Action Express Racing DPi.

Congratulations Crawdaddy, you have lead the way so others may follow. Airborne!

2021 Winter League Race 2

On Tuesday, February 2nd at 8:00 PM it's back to live eMotorsport with the Operation eMotorsport iRacing League by RECARO. The second race with our new GT4 machinery, across 3 classes, we could have as many as 40 drivers take the green flag at virtual Road America. As always the the live action will be called by our friends at Pit Stop TV and broadcast on our YouTube channel, where there is always an opportunity to chat with other beneficiaries and fans. And if you miss it, the race replay is available on the Operation Motorsport YouTube channel.

Thank you to Road America for supporting our programs and our entitlement sponsor RECARO Automotive for bringing this Diversionary Therapy Program opportunity to our beneficiaries.
