Pius XI Family Newsletter | May 22, 2024

Heavenly Father, we are reminded of the incredible grace You have shown us through Christ. Inspire us to extend that same grace and forgiveness to others, reflecting Your love and mercy in all my relationships. Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Thank You for the freedom and lightness of spirit that accompany these choices. May we continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Your love. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Letter from the Principal

Parents and Guardians,

I want to take this opportunity to share our prayers and well-wishes to the graduating class of 2024. In less than two weeks our seniors will receive their Pius XI diploma. This graduating class has left its mark on Pius XI. They have represented 2 national championships in Rube Goldberg, regional championships in many sports, the resurgence of our

Pius XI football program, the creation and sustainability of many different clubs around the school and in general great representatives of the Pius XI values.

They will be the last graduating class that experienced a “Covid year” at Pius. This group was actually Freshman, starting their high school experience, during the Covid hybrid school year.  When I think about that and what they had to endure while starting one of the most exciting and nerve racking times of their lives, during the uncertainty of a global pandemic, I cannot help but feel admiration and respect for their resilience. Please pray for our class of 2024 as they embark on adulthood and the next steps in their journeys.

Parents, as I have shared twice before with you, here is a parent survey that we would ask you to fill out. There are a few changes to questions in order to solicit feedback on trends that have come across in the fall and winter surveys. Your feedback is valuable and will impact some aspects of our summer planning.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions as we wind down the school year.

Padres y Guardianes,

In Christ / En Cristo

Community Updates

Thank You from the PPO

The PPO would like to thank all of our senior parents for their support this year. Whether you came to a meeting, donated money, gave feedback, or brought in food, your efforts were all appreciated.

We would like to specifically call out two senior parents in particular. A huge thanks to Heidi Westphal and Dave Baudry for their unwavering support over the years. They were integral in forming the PPO and have volunteered at numerous events and concessions stands over the years. Your efforts truly made a difference. You will be missed!
