Thank You from The Men of St. John’s!
The Men of St. John’s would like to thank everyone who joined us for another fabulous Annual Oyster Roast and Barbeque. The weather was perfect for the event once again. The oysters, BBQ, music, and fellowship were fantastic! Congratulations to Frank Somoskey on winning the beautiful drawing so generously donated by Mick McCay. Many thanks to the dedicated team of men who worked so hard to make this year’s event successful.

We look forward to another fabulous event next year. Mark your calendars for February 11, 2023!

Dunbar will begin his 10 a.m. class[Ralston Room, 3rd Floor, Cranmer Hall and livestreamed] for adults seeking Confirmation, Reception into Membership at St. John’s, or a refresher/introduction to the Anglican tradition of Christianity. Running through to Palm Sunday (April 10), this class will touch on the history of Anglicanism, and its distinctive approach to Christian faith and worship. Outreach Efforts in February
Kids’ Boutique at P.A.C.K.
In addition to St. John’s ongoing effort to collect new 6-year-old girl outfits for the Kids’ Boutique at PACK, they are also in need of school uniforms (khaki pants and white polo shirts) for older children (i.e. sizes 12-16 and adult sizes small to large). Donations of 6-year-old girl outfits [or school uniforms] may be dropped off at 4 Mall Terrace during the times St. John’s volunteers are there (1st & 3rd Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m.). Please make sure all donations still have the tags on them.

For more information or to sign up to help with this Kids’ Boutique project, please contact Elaine Barrow at
[email protected] or cell 912-856-1774.

[NOTE: During check out, scroll down to choose the shipping address “St. John’s Church Outreach c/o The Finnegans’ Gift Registry Address”.] You may also drop off donated snacks at church on Sunday mornings (We suggest adding a Post-it note written with “Outreach/PACK”).
