Congregational Prayer Requests

  • Traveling mercies for members of our congregation traveling to be with loved ones, and for all those traveling to Columbus for the holiday.
  • Prayers for our congregation as we prepare for the Christ child on Christmas Eve and as we dream together about what our congregation will do/experience in 2025.
  • Prayers for those who will experience the holidays without a loved one for the first time this year.
  • Prayers that our congregation is a place of love, hope, and healing for all who walk through our doors
  • Prayers for those experiencing illness (in body, mind, or spirit)
  • Prayers for all those grieving the loss of a loved one.

Joys and Celebrations

  • The debut of our Sounds of Faith Choir
  • The jazz quintet that provided our music on Sunday morning
  • Our Advent study that concluded last night.
  • A joy-filled season of fellowship and mission work that was done during this Advent season.
  • The work of the Holy Spirit within our congregation.

Prayers for the Columbus Community


  • Prayers for all those without adequate housing as colder temperatures begin.
  • Traveling mercies for all those traveling to be with loved ones for the holidays.
  • Prayers for all students, teachers, and school staff as they end their semesters.
  • Prayers for community organizations as they meet the increasing needs of our community during the holiday season.
  • Prayers for all our community members who may feel the weight of grief and loss during this holiday season.
  • Prayers for those in our communities struggling to find resources needed for quality living.



Prayers for our Nation

  • Prayers for the people of Madison, WI as they grieve the loss and violence after a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School.
  • Prayers for the victims of a mass shooting in Townson, MD last night.
  • Prayers for the many people across our nation who fear for their safety and lack peace.
  • Prayers for legislators across the country as they reckon with and seek to make changes to protect all citizens from the continuing issue of gun violence.
  • Prayers for the many areas of our country where violence is causing harm to others.
  • Prayers for those who continue to face discrimination and civil rights violations.

Prayers for the World

  • Prayers for peace as ongoing conflict continues in Syria.
  • Prayers for the people of Mayotte, as they recover from a cyclone that hit on Monday.
  • Prayers for all nations facing the devastating effects and loss of war. May peace be present.
  • Prayers for nations worldwide that continue to fight for their human and civil rights.
