CFAP Investment Trivia Game Night
Thursday, August 20
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
CFAP is hosting a team trivia night with questions focused on the investment industry. Socialize in a fun, casual setting. Dust off any cobwebs that may be forming while working from home. All while raising money for a good cause!
If you would like to play but can't think of anyone special to recruit for your team of four to five people, it is no problem! We will place individuals onto a team. All players will have the opportunity to briefly network with teammates in breakout rooms before the game begins. Space is limited so gather your team and register today!
All registration proceeds will be donated to Philabundance,
the area's largest hunger relief organization, acquiring, rescuing and distributing food to 90,000 people weekly. Visit them on the web at
www.philabundance.org.
How It Works:
- Teams of 4-5 will compete in this virtual trivia competition;
- Each team designates a team captain. The captain is responsible for submitting answers electronically at the end each round;
- Players will be able to discuss their answers in private Zoom breakout rooms before submission;
- The highest scoring team wins a prize and CFAP bragging rights!
How to Register:
- Each player will register individually;
- Indicate whether you are planning to form a team;
- Don't have a team? No problem! You will be grouped with other single players or added to a team;
- Registration closes on Tuesday, August 18th.
Players who have expressed a desire to form a team will be contacted a few days before the event to coordinate team members.
Registration is $15.00 per person.

Sustainable Investing Thought Leadership Group Monthly Meeting: Prison Labor in the United States
Wednesday, July 29
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Via Webcast
The CFAP Sustainable Investing Thought Leadership Group provides a forum to advance the dialogue regarding the role of sustainable investing in today's capital markets and beyond. In particular, the group directs its attention to furthering an understanding and clarifying the risks and opportunities linked to environmental, social and governance issues.
This month, Chris Bentley, Founder and Managing Director of the DECarceration Fund, and Julie Goodridge, Chief Executive Officer NorthStar Asset Management, will present on the effects of prison labor in the United States on your clients' investment portfolios.
Prison labor is enabled in the United States by the 13th amendment of the U.S. Constitution which prohibits slavery "except as a punishment for crime." Over 2.2 million individuals are incarcerated in state, federal, and private prisons in the United States, and nearly all able-bodied inmates work in some fashion. While many inmates are employed in maintenance of the prison, a significant number of inmates work to produce goods or perform services for private companies, nonprofit organizations, and state or federal agencies that partner with prisons.
More than 4,000 corporations profit from mass incarceration through predatory pricing, use of prison labor, and the private prison industry. Chris and Julie will discuss how to better understand this supply chain risk and provide practical steps that shareholders and companies can take in order to pursue solutions.
If you have any questions regarding becoming part of the Sustainable Investing Thought Leadership Group, contact CFAP member Michael Cosack at
