This Sunday will be a triple Celebration Sunday, in that we will have our Bible Camp Celebration Sunday alongside the annual Blessings of the Backpack's, AND a special Dedication/ Celebration for Chuck and Jann Perkins and the celebration of their 70th Wedding Anniversary!

Rev. Michael is a retired UCC pastor and sugarmaker in North Wolcott. He and his wife, Patience Whitman, are members of the international ecumenical Iona Community. The Call to Worship and Unison Prayer are from the international, ecumenical Iona Community.

Finding Inner Peace in Times of Chaos: An Interfaith Panel Discussion August 23rd!

The world can feel unpredictable and overwhelming. How do different faith traditions help us find peace — both within ourselves and in community with others? Join Rabbi David Fainsilber (Jewish Community of Greater Stowe), Fr. Bob Leopold (priest, St. John's in the Mountains Episcopal Church), and Monk San (resident monk, Blue Lotus Meditation Center, Venice, FL) for a conversation exploring how Jewish, Christian, and Buddhist teachings speak to fear, uncertainty, and the search for calm amid chaos.

The panel will draw on scripture, tradition, and personal practice to explore how each faith community supports its members through hard times, what history teaches us about resilience, and simple daily practices anyone can easily learn. Whether you're firmly rooted in a tradition, spiritually searching, or simply curious, this conversation is for you. All are welcome!

Liz Coutu Receives Nursing Award!

Copley Hospital is pleased to recognize Liz Couto, RN for receiving the 2026 Karen O’Neill Award, a distinguished honor presented by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) during its annual New England Regional Symposium (NERS).

Each year, emergency nurses from across the six New England states gather for NERS, a longstanding conference focused on education, collaboration, and excellence in emergency nursing practices. During the symposium, the Karen O’Neill Award is presented to a nurse who exemplifies outstanding leadership, professionalism, and dedication to the field of emergency nursing.

Liz was selected from nominations submitted throughout New England, a testament to the impact she has made both at Copley Hospital and across the broader emergency nursing community. Her commitment to exceptional patient care, professional excellence, and mentorship reflects the qualities this award was created to recognize.

Church Fall Open House, Sign Up to Help!

Can you help us welcome the many visitors to the village during the autumn weekends? 

We would like to have the church open for people to pray, take photos, learn about our historic church, and support our mission. This will start September 5 through October 11.

Please sign up in the Narthex or email the church to volunteer for a 2 or 1 hour time slot this fall. Be sure to look at the dates and times on the sign up sheet.

SCC Technology Night Fundraiser!!

Join us for SCC Technology Night, September 11th 6-8 pm where the youth will be providing one-on-one technical support to help troubleshoot common device issues, answer technology questions, and offer guidance.

We will provide a pasta dinner for the youth and the folks who join us in need of technical assistance. 

This special evening is a fundraiser to support the renovation of our youth room. We will invite the community to attend and make a suggested donation of $25–$50 in appreciation of the assistance received. All funds raised will go to support the renovation of our youth room.

United Way Firewood Project Sept. 12th!

The United Way of Lamoille County 2026 Firewood Project is happening on Saturday, September 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at our Wood Lot — 595 Bridge Street, Morrisville, VT 05661 — and we're hoping you'll join us.

Every year this project puts split, seasoned firewood in the hands of neighbors who rely on it to heat their homes through the winter. It takes a lot of hands to make it happen, and there's a job for every comfort level:

- Sawing — bucking logs to length

- Splitting — running the splitters

- Stacking — loading and organizing the finished wood

- Delivering — hauling wood out to households

If you have equipment, that's a huge help. We're specifically looking for wood splitters, dump trucks, trailers, and chainsaws.
