Copley Woodlands Kids Club Starts Wednesday!

Wednesday February 14th 3:00-4:30!

We are thrilled to share a new partnership with Copley Woodlands!

We are starting a Kids Club that gives Children's Worship students an opportunity to give back, and spend time once a month with the residents at the Woodlands!

Miss Taryn will meet any interested Children's Worship kiddos at Stowe Elementary School at after school pick up, with snacks in tow, and we'll walk over to Copley Woodlands for a fun and faith filled Fellowship time with the residents of Copley Woodlands!  We'll make Valentine's Day cards, decorate cookies, listen to music and just talk and visit.

Parent pickup is at Copley Woodlands at 4:30 pm! Please feel free to reach out to Taryn Noelle, if you have any questions, or would like some more info. [email protected]

Lamoille Community House

Mission of the Month: Lamoille Community House

The Lamoille Community House provides shelter and services to people experiencing homelessness in Lamoille Valley. We provide safe spaces to support people in their journeys towards stable housing. With beds, warm meals, access to laundry, toiletries, clothing and other supplies, we make sure to meet our guests' basic needs, in addition to connecting them to housing case management and referrals to support for other identified needs. LCH is open 24/7 365 days per year, and our most consistent need is meals for our guests. We provide a hot dinner every night and rely on our community members to provide those meals.

Please consider becoming a dinner provider to ensure our guests have nutritious home cooked meals.

Sign up here to bring a meal to the shelter.

If a meal is not something you're able to do, we are always happy to accept monetary donations, you can do so by visiting lamoilleshelter.org/donate.

Our Mission Moment will be on February 18th with Kim Anetsberger, Executive Director coming to speak.

XC Day

Kenya Mission Visit in July!

The Mission Committee is planning a small mission trip to visit our orphan school that we sponsor in Kenya. Pastor Ouma is very excited to welcome us to the school and suggests that beginning of July would the best time. Accommodations would be provided. The committee is reaching out to see if anyone in the congregation is interested in joining us on this trip?  There will be an optional safari trip to Kenya and Tanzania tentatively planned afterward. For more information, please contact Karen at [email protected].

Printer Cartridge

SCC Recycle Opportunities

We mail small empty ink cartridges to CA postage free and they send us a small check. This week we received a check for $16.50. Thank you for bringing your small ink cartridges to the church!

This week we donated about 40 pairs of eyeglasses to Lion’s Club. Thank you so much for donating your no longer needed eye glasses. They go to people in the U.S and all around the world, who cannot afford glasses.

Each month we take donated large empty ink cartridges to Staples. They give us vouchers to use to buy church supplies.

Musical Selections

Welcome - Mark A. Miller / Belmont United Methodist Church, Nashville Tennessee

This Sunday we will introduce a new hymn to the congregation. "Welcome" with words by Laurie Zelman and musuc by Mark A. Miller. Here's a chance to get a head start learning that song!

My Soul's Been Anchored in the Lord

We'll also be singing several spirituals for Music Sunday. While we won't be singing this one, I had to include it. This high school chorus from Oregon is fantastic and you can tell they love this song!
