Nominations are now being accepted for the UNM Alumni Association's Research Award. The award recognizes outstanding research being conducted at the University of New Mexico. The recipient is currently conducting research full-time in any school or college of the University.

Megan Cole

PhD Student

Department of Anthropology


Congratulations to Evolutionary Anthropology PhD student, Megan Cole, who was awarded a student prize at the Southwest Association of Biological Anthropologists meeting in Arizona. She won the award for her talk on trait variation in cortisol among wild chimpanzees. Megan is also an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, and a graduate student researcher with the Kibale Chimpanzee Project. Her dissertation focuses on individual differences in stress physiology and social tolerance in wild chimpanzees.
