Congratulations to Bernadine Hernandez who's book Border Bodies: Racialized Sexuality, Sexual Capital, and Violence in the Nineteenth Century Borderlands has won three prestigious national book awards. The first award is the 2024 NACCS (National Association of Chicana and Chicano Studies) Book of the Year award. The second is the 2024 AAHHE (American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education) Book of the Year of Award. And the third is the 2023 Honorable Mention for the Gloría Anzaldua Book Award from the NWSA (National Women’s Studies Association).
