THIS WEEK'S SESSION HIGHLIGHTS

Researchers Panel

Tuesday, April 19 at 11:00 AM via Zoom

Five faculty from across campus will discuss the challenges and opportunities they have faced in conducting their research. The topics discussed at this panel session will be responded to by campus administrators at the Administrators panel on 4/20 at 2:00.

Demystifying Evaluation for Team Research Projects: Perspectives from an Evaluator and an Administrator

Wednesday, April 20 at 1:00 PM via Zoom

This interactive session will give investigators insight into key components of evaluation, including an overview of logic models, drafting effective goals and outcomes, and tips for finding and working with an evaluator. Attendees will have opportunities to discuss the content with each other and the facilitators, to apply these areas to proposals they are currently preparing or that they plan to submit, and will leave this session with a better understanding of this important component of team research projects.

Administrators Panel

Wednesday, April 20 at 2:00 PM via Zoom

Following the Researchers Panel, UNM research administrators will reflect upon the barriers and benefits discussed by the researcher panelists and session participants earlier in the day. Administrator panelists will also discuss additional considerations that were not addressed by researcher panelists, and provide insights on how UNM can help overcome obstacles and maximize benefits.

Streamlyne IRB Module Training for A&S

In preparation for the launch of the Streamlyne IRB Module system in mid-May, each department chair is being asked to identify a staff or faculty member who can act as a skilled resource for the department. It is important that as many faculty as possible are trained on this system before it goes live.

Please E-mail Linda Mayo to schedule a training.

Congratulations to David Vargas, who just received one of three Student Paper Awards at the 2022 Copper Mountain Conference on Iterative Methods. This is one of the biggest annual conferences on iterative methods and we're so proud that his paper, Toward Parallel in Time for Chaotic Dynamical Systems, has gotten the recognition it deserves.
