Every week students are exploring a variety of academics, technology, and the arts. Please enjoy some of our favorite traditions and new traditions happening at Park Maitland School.

Sixth-grade students in Ms. Keckley's homeroom enjoyed moving to the beat with the popular online "Just Dance" on Wednesday. "I like how we can have so much fun together," Anika H. said.
Jenga
This week in Ms. Schultz's class, students learned that "Jenga" comes from the Swahili word "Kujenga" which means to build. Students are "building" their vocabulary, and learning about word origins and Latin roots in grade 4. We had an exciting and "friendly" competition in 4-Green, 4-Purple, and 4-Red with this fun game that's over 50 years old. We were excited to have our visitor from Orton-Gillingham with us to join in the fun!
Vegetable Garden
This week in Ms. Rudolph's Science and Social Studies class, K4 students planted their vegetable garden! "I got to put the seed in the dirt and water, " Owen B. said. "I planted radishes, carrots, and green beans," Emi G. said.
