Every week students are exploring a variety of academics, technology, and the arts. Please enjoy some of our favorite traditions and new traditions happening at Park Maitland School.
Many students from different grade levels gathered in the courtyard to watch the K4's celebrate the 100th day of school by participating in a parade dressed as their 100-year old selves. K5 proudly presented their 100 items to their own classes today, while first graders displayed their favorite items on their T-shirts. Happy 100th day everyone!
Jelly Fudge Friends (JFF) gathered this week in the AAC to learn the history of and celebrate this month's Lunar New Year, the year of the Tiger.

A big thank you to Orlando Taekwondo & Kung Fu (OTK) for stopping by to teach us the traditions of the Chinese lion dance.
WAX MUSEUM
Students and families walked into the AAC on Tuesday ready to learn from each of our fifth grade "famous Americans" throughout the day. "Firstly, I was nowhere close to being confident, but after, I kind of felt amazed because I told everyone what I did," James F. said. A tradition at Park Maitland School celebrating people throughout American history, the event consists of a collection of wax sculptures that come to life from the fifth graders with the press of a button. "My favorite character was Neil Armstrong because I like space," Owen V. said.
Science and Social Studies
1st Grade
This week, Ms. Nepple's first grade 1-Green and 1-Purple classes were treated to a Diwali lesson by the Patel family (mom of Layla P. in 1-Green).
2nd Grade
In Ms. Dick's second-grade class, students formed groups to brainstorm, sketch, and create amazing projects about many different American presidents. Students then presented their projects in class. Way to go!
