Every week students are exploring a variety of academics, technology, and the arts. Please enjoy some of our favorite traditions and new traditions happening at Park Maitland School.
Book Character Day was here, and it was an event to remember! Coordinated by K4 teachers, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Diaz, and Ms. Artle, K4 students dressed up and brought their favorite books to life in this special event. The day was filled with tons of yummy treats and activities throughout the day.

St. Patricks Day
Photos by Elizabeth B.
On the last day before Spring Break, our students had a dynamic day. Students from each grade level came to watch and cheer in a game of kickball, Teachers vs. Sixth-Graders.

Sixth-graders and First-graders also celebrated a JFF event in a St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt all over campus. Thank you to all the wonderful sixth-grade coordinators for putting a fantastic event each month.

Hungry to Help
This week, our Hungry to Help Student Ambassadors served 196 plates of food to those in need in the downtown area of Orlando. Our student leaders work once each month to give their time in service to others. Serving others is a great way to build character and develop empathy.

Volunteer Opportunities

For those of you who wish to continue serving, the Christian Service Center serves meals each day. They also have other volunteer opportunities for those who want to help. Below is a link to their volunteer application page. There is always room for those who want to help others.

Pizza Party
Before Spring Break, Mr. Anna visited 4-Red during Ms. Shultz reading class as a Special Mystery Reader. Mr. Anna shared "Words of Wisdom" about the importance of enthusiasm, giving your best effort, having integrity, and finding something you're passionate about. "He also brought pizza and cheesy bread from Domino's so students were beyond thrilled! It was a special treat having him as our special guest, and we loved him sharing stories with us", Ms. Shultz said.
Math Kangaroo
The Math Team, coordinated by Ms. Anjali Hans and Mr. John Driscoll, entered into the Math Kangaroo contest this week. Students worked hard and were rewarded with a Math Kangaroo t-shirt and other surprises inside their swag bags. Their sheets have been turned in and now students will wait until May for the results. Best of luck, Math Team!
