This past week, we celebrated and honored this amazing planet we call home by hosting our second Earth Maker Day! This was a school-wide event with the goal of planting seeds and setting off a rippling effect across our student body and local community! Students took part in design and maker activities throughout the day to both create awareness and develop better practices and solutions that can be applied at school and beyond. It was such a fun day! Thank you to all the parents who volunteered and/or donated supplies for the cause! Please enjoy the above video created by our students to help raise awareness, as well as the following photos of the day's festivities.

This past Saturday, Language arts teacher, Ms. Schultz accompanied students to Top Golf as part of the auction item purchased by Dr. Shani Cunningham at the Park Maitland Movie Night Event. Olivia (Cunningham) brought two other fourth-grade friends: Mei Ling Geib and Tallulah Smith along. The girls were able to play several rounds of golf and have lunch together. Ms. Schultz brought her daughter, Annie, pictured in the one photo - she was a great assistant for the afternoon full of fun and laughter.

Fifth-graders shined last week as they performed Matilda on stage at the Park Maitland AAC. "I played Bruce; I had a lot of responsibilities this year. I am a sports guy, and this play helped me to do something out of the box," Emmett Brown said. Congratulations to all our fifth-graders for their hard work performing in front of a live audience.
