Every week students are exploring a variety of academics, technology, and the arts. Please enjoy some of our favorite traditions and new traditions happening at Park Maitland School.
Roald Dahl Day has become a fun-filled Park Maitland tradition for all fourth grade students. Students came dressed as their favorite book character as our fourth grade teachers made today a special day tied to Roald Dahl through the areas of Reading/Language Arts, Math, and Science/SS. "It was really fun building the bridge," Max Junger said. Students received a bookmark and a golden ticket to take home with them. "Roald Dahl Day was super fun dressing up as Willy Wonka!" Luca Brandt said.
ESW teacher, Ms. Fondo, had her first grade students on a noun scavenger hunt around campus looking for persons, places, and things. They added Mr. Anna to their list and Mr. A joined in on the fun.
This week Mr. N from the world of the letter people came to town to visit our K4 friends. K4 students could not wait to make beautiful noise in Mr. N's noisiest parade.
Tinkering Lab
Tinkering Lab teacher, Ms. Trombley, had students in second grade go through the engineering process with a partner in class. Students were ready to test the flying machine they created as they watched Rosie Revere go down the zipline.
Science & Social Studies
In Ms. Dick's Science and Social Studies class, our second-grade students have been working on the culmination of the Florida Project. Tomorrow our students will be presenting their final projects to the class!
