Queridas familias de Park Maitland School,

We celebrated our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Assembly this past week which included lots of colors, instruments, sombreros, flamenco dresses, ponchos, and more from our students! We danced and sang to the mariachi band, Monumental de México, as they played the most well-known traditional hits. Señora Nahir Rosado and her mama, Olga, performed a spectacular salsa routine for the school and then took time to teach our students a few basic moves! Sophia Abdul, Raazi Nadjafi, and Felipe Perez recited the Pledge of Allegiance in español and our super seniors danced with all of the Spanish-speaking country flags. It was a memorable event! Thank you to all who participated in making this day that more special.

Con mucho cariño,
The Spanish Team
SPANISH CLASS
In Ms. Richardson's spanish class, parents celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by reading about a Hispanic trailblazer or by sharing a cultural lesson in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades!
K4
Last week, K4 students had a great pirate adventure with Ms. Kelly and Ms. Diaz. Our explorers were delighted to find treasure all around campus. Please enjoy Ms. P's pirate parade, Arrr!

2ND GRADE
Students were in awe this week during Ms. Trombley's Tinkering Lab domino challenges. Through problem-solving, students found a variety of ways a domino effect can cause a chain reaction.
1ST GRADE
Ms. Nepple's K5 science class enjoyed examining a little deeper for the finer details.
