Who is Ready to Take on the Great 8 Challenge?

Join Les Stroud, aka Survivorman, as we embark on this epic eight-week challenge! Starting April 19th, Councils and Sections will be competing for bragging rights, and to accumulate weekly crests to form one ultimate composite crest. And that’s not all. Embark on these adventurous challenges for a chance to win a virtual Section meet-n-greet with the Survivorman himself! Determine your team’s “survivability” by submitting your completed challenges each week. We’ll be tracking your progress and updating The Great 8 Challenge leader-board so you can see who’s on top! The Great 8 Challenge is based on Les Stroud’s new book, Wild Outside: Around the World with Survivorman.

Tune in each week as Les introduces a new challenge!
Are you ready? It’s going to be an adventure-filled journey – you won’t want to miss it!

Download the Scouter's Guide to the the Great 8 Challenge here. It outlines each of the eight challenges for our sections and everything you will need to complete them while at home or outdoors.

Want to know more? The Program Support Team is hosting another information session on Tuesday April 13th at 9:30 pm. Register today.

And! Each challenge is accompanied with its own Skills Night to help all scouters facilitate each adventure. Check out the schedule.

And one more thing! Check out this Google drive document housing all the ideas Scouters are already sharing with each other. Awesome!

Be sure to share your group or section's challenges with us and make sure to use the hashtag #survivewithLes and tag @scoutscanada (and feel free to tag @swcscouts on Instagram!).
