USASA WEEKLY ROUNDUP

Snowtime Showtime!

We're coming into our last few weekends of regional series events - just two weekends left! Don't you feel like we're just getting started!?

In just over a month, we'll be kicking off the 33rd USASA National Championships (More info on that below!) But first, let's celebrate a few of the happenings last weekend at the regional series events, share some highlights from the 3rd stop of the Futures Tour and talk about how amazing our partner Blackstrap Designs is for donating and designing these custom USASA Neck Tubes to support the National Championships Grant -- all proceeds from these sales fund the NCG and put money back into the pockets of our athletes!

There's lots more fun to be had this season-- so be sure to sign up for an event near you!

Hole Shots: Now that we're in the thick of winter, Cross courses are built and have been firing across the country - like this one at the Mt. Hood Series event at Mt. Hood Meadows.

Slope Stylin': The Rocky Mountain Series hosted their last slopestyle of the season at Copper last weekend.

Prize Packs: The New Hampshire Series members showing off a little Columbia swag from this weekend's raffle at Loon Mountain.

FUTURES TOUR PARK CITY

FRANS, ELLA, WISCHMEYER, LILY, KELLY, WINTERBERGER, & PARK GRAB GOLD IN UTAH

Sun and snow prevailed at the 3rd stop of the 2024 Futures Tour in Park City, Utah last week. Over 200 athletes hailing from fifteen different USASA Regional Series came to compete in slope and halfpipe at Woodward Park City and Park City Mountain Resort. The week kicked off with a perfect, bluebird pipe day at Park City Mountain Resort, home of the 2002 Olympics. Ava Lilly, Nico Ella, Abby Winterberger and Evan Wischmeyer took top honors.

The next three days were dedicated to slopestyle at Woodward Park City's main park- with snowboard men kicking things off. In a heated and progressive final, top qualifier Colin Frans won on his second and final run of the day besting Southern Vermont Series' Tommy Okesson by one point. North Tahoe Series' Alejandro Adib-Samii snagged bronze. Storm winds and snow battered the hill for the Freeski men's qualifier the following day making it unsafe and impossible to complete the competition.

For the final day of competition, the freeski and snowboard women squeaked in qualifiers and finals as the storm winds picked up throughout the day. Local Big Mountain West's Gwynnie Park and North Tahoe Series Keva Kelly earned top spots in snowboard and freeski slopestyle respectively. The Futures Tour Tahoe kicks off today with a halfpipe and slopestyle event held at Northstar Resort, CA.
