Welcome to the Greater Los Angeles Scouting Weekly Scouter Update! During the dynamic times we are living through, we know it is important to share frequent Scouting updates. To streamline communications, we are pleased to share a new format for our council newsletter, the Weekly Scouter Update. Every Wednesday, we will send timely updates to our Scouting community. The goal is to provide a shorter newsletter each week, which covers important announcements and information for unit and district leaders. We welcome your input and encourage you to share your ideas with kevin.burton@scouting.org . Akela Den Training for the Online World Just as our Scouts in our Packs and Troops need constant feeding to grow, our adult leaders need the same, so the Team of Sercel and Kalb will ride again into the ONLINE world of Cub Scouting. We will be offering a 4 part series of adult online training meetings in July 2020 to help Cub Leaders in our COVID world. Learn More

The Next Gathering of Eagles  The Council's Eagle Scout Association will host a panel of Eagle Scouts who will share their insights in the legal profession. After their presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions of these gentlemen. Summertime Pack Award We would like to encourage all of your Cub Scouts to remain active when school is out during the summer months, by doing at least one activity each month. This is an individual recognition, but a pack can also qualify for a certificate and streamer by planning and conducting three pack activities, one for each of the summer months.  Read More
