Come Join Us For Some "Weird Science” Cub Day Camp at our GLAAC Camps this Summer
Come join us for three different weeks of Cub Day Camp at our GLAAC camps this summer. At Camp Trask in Monrovia there will be two week-long Twilight Camps in the late afternoon and early evening. The Day Camp at Trask will be happening the weeks of June 21-25 and July 19-23. At our Cabrillo Youth Center a full-day Cub Day Camp program will be held with lots of fun around the camp. That Day Camp will be the week of July 12-16 and there will be a Special Tiger and Adult Partner Day at Cabrillo on July 16.

The theme this year is "Weird Science!" The activities will be appropriate to each camp and length of session but could include swimming, boating, shooting sports, nature, handicraft and, of course, "Weird Science!" The program is open to Wolves, Bears and Webelos/ AOL. At the Trask program Parents/ guardians who are staying during the program will also be able to enjoy their own program if they wish. We ask only that the Adults show proof of their current Youth Protection Training.

Registration Now open for National Wood Badge Course at the Summit "The most fun you’ll have getting trained" At first, it sounds like a reality TV pitch: What happens when you bring together 64 strangers from across the country and challenge them to spend five days living, learning and working together? But the reality behind the National Wood Badge Course, planned for January 2022 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, is better than anything seen on TV. This reality has the potential to change your life forever.
That’s not slick marketing copy. That’s the message we’re hearing from participants and staffers who attended this course the last time it was held, in 2020. Read More
Units From Pio Pico District Honor Our Fallen Heroes
On May 28, 2021, Antoinette Lou, Community Relations Manager of Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary invited several Troops and Pack's from different cities in the local area to participate this this years’ Memorial Days event. Whittier Troops and Packs were one of the cities that participated in placing flags to our fallen heroes for their courageous acts. We can never thank them and the families who lost such great men and women as they protected the freedom of this United States of America. The Troops and Packs were honored to be part of this great event.
Need a den chief? Ask a Venturer
Since den chief counts as a position of responsibility for Scouts BSA rank advancement, it can be natural to seek a Scout in the program to serve as a den chief. But Venturers and Sea Scouts can also contribute to your den’s success. Click here or more information.
