Continue Cub Scout Advancement Over the Summer
Q: If my den is behind in advancement due to COVID-19, can my Cub Scout continue to work on advancement through the summer?

A: Yes. Cub Scouts may continue to work on their current den’s advancement. During this pandemic period, it is at the discretion of the den to decide the best course of action for how long to extend continuation of advancement. We want to ensure that the pandemic does not create an obstacle to youth advancement, that Cub Scouts families continue to have a positive experience, and that the standard for Cub Scout Advancement continues to be “Do Your Best.” We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate when this temporary measure expires and there is a return to the standard rules for Cub Scout advancement.

But for many newly minted Eagle Scouts, their Scouting adventure is just beginning.

Eagle Scouts have a number of ways to continue their Scouting journey after receiving the highest rank in Scouts BSA. And many Eagle Scouts, myself included, find their post-Eagle experience in Scouting to be even more enjoyable than the journey to Eagle. Read More

Come Join Us For Some "Weird Science” at Camp Trask's Twilight Camp for Cubs
Did you know that "Cub Day Camp" does not have to be conducted during the middle of the day? Come join us at Camp Trask in Monrovia for a week long Twilight Camp in the late afternoon and early evening. The theme this year is "Weird Science!" Swimming, shooting sports, nature, handicraft and, of course, "Weird Science!" will be just some of the activities that will be offered for our Wolves, Bears and Webelos/ AOL. Parents/ guardians who are staying during the program will also be able to enjoy their own program if they wish. We ask only that the Adults show proof of their current Youth Protection Training.

BSA Veteran Award
The BSA Veteran award recognizes individual members for tenure in Scouting. The recognition item is a lapel pin denoting the number of years of service. This pin is worn only on civilian clothing and not on the scout uniform. The veteran award is an adult recognition only. However, tenure earned as a youth may be included in the total number of years registered. Pins can be purchased at the local scout shop after confirmation is received from national records. Currently, 5-year to 90-year pins are available on scoutshop.org
After five years of registered service in the Boy Scouts of America, an adult may, upon application, receive the designation of "Veteran," provided the person agrees to live up to the Scouting obligations...
