Budget Negotiations continued this week. The Assembly and Senate released their proposed timeline for their one-house budget release. The houses hope to have their revenue reports and forecasts done by February 28th. They believe negotiations will be complete by March 22nd and that adoption of the budgets will take place between March 27th and 29th.

The budget is due on April 1st. You can read their full schedule here.

The Governor will likely be releasing his 30 day amendments this coming Thursday. We are still hopeful that he will include funding for early voting in his amendments.

LetNYVote has launched a petition drive to urge Governor Cuomo to include funding for early voting in his budget amendments. This petition will be delivered to the Governor in the second week of February.
