News Bulletin:
Percoco Trial Goes to Jury
On Thursday, the jury began deliberations on the charges against the Governor's former top aide, Joseph Percoco. The League and our good government partners have been following this case and have made several recommendations for reforms that would prevent future cases of bribery and corruption from occurring in New York.
We released a press release highlighting the major indiscretions in the case and calling on the Governor and legislature to pass 8 comprehensive reforms that would help clean up Albany's culture of corruption. You can read our release and recomendations

Saratoga Resolution Opposing Early Voting
This week we were disappointed to see the Saratoga Board of Supervisors pass a resolution opposing early voting and automatic voter registration. Luckily, our Saratoga League is a force to be reckoned with, they turned out their members to watch the meeting, testify in opposition to the resolution, present a petition opposing the resolution, and bring some much needed media attention to the issue. Kudos to LWV Saratoga for their work this week!
You can read more about LWV Saratoga's amazing effort in this week's press clips.
Although we hope other local boards won't try and pass similar resolutions, we are remaining vigilant so that we can let the public know how their local officials feel about this important voting reform.
