Those who registered to attend in-person services for Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur should have received a confirmation of their reservation via e-mail. Mahzor:  To make the High Holiday virtual worship experience as smooth and user friendly as possible, Kol Shalom will gladly provide online access to the Mahzor Lev Shalom through the Rabbinical Assembly Publications Department. Please contact the synagogue office at 410-266-6006 or [email protected] BEFORE 12 PM ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23to obtain the link. 


Lulav/Etrog: Sukkot is quickly approaching.  If you would like to purchase a lulav/etrog set ($50 per set), please contact the synagogue office at 410-266-6006 or [email protected] by Thursday, September 29. Payment can be sent to Congregation Kol Shalom; ATTN: LULAV/ETROG; 1909 Hidden Meadow Lane; Annapolis, MD 21401. Please make checks payable to Congregation Kol Shalom and note "Lulav/Etrog" in the memo line. 


Our schedule of services on Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, and Simhat Torah is as follows:

 

  • Sukkot First Day Service:  Monday, October 10, 9:30 AM, in person and via Zoom 
  • Shemini Atzeret Service/Yizkor:  Monday, October 17, 9:30 AM, in person and via Zoom 
  • Simhat Torah Service:  Tuesday, October 18, 9:30 AM, in person and via Zoom


Classes

Siddur Class will continue on Tuesday, October 4, at 10:30 AM. Feel free to join the zoom room to say hello at 10:25 AM.  Click here to access the Zoom link. Please note - in observance of Rosh Hashanah, class will NOT be held on Tuesday, September 27.  


Please note a few changes in schedule to our Zentangle Meditative Art Class:

  • On Wednesday, September 28, class will begin at 11 AM.
  • In observance of Yom Kippur, class will NOT be held on Wednesday, October 5.
  • Our usual start time of 10 AM will resume on Wednesday, October 12. Please e-mail the synagogue office at [email protected] with any questions or if you would like the Zoom link.


Talmud Study and Torah & Tabloids sessions will resume after the High Holidays.



Men's Club Bourbon Tasting

What: Bourbon Tasting. Tom Jones, Certified Bourbon Steward will lead a talk on the History of Bourbon and a Tasting of multiple varieties. We will sample 5 bourbons, including Widow Jane, 10 Year, which was a crowd favorite at our first tasting.

 

When: Thursday, November 3, 2022, 7 PM - 8 PM

 

Where: Congregation Kol Shalom, 1909 Hidden Meadow Lane, Annapolis, MD 21401

 

How: In person (COVID dependent). Please look to the Shofar as we get closer for any updates.

Women's League

Oneg/Kiddush DonationsIt is with thanks that we acknowledge the donations made to the Oneg/Kiddush fund. Howard Salob reads the list at services each Shabbat and we publish the list in The Weekly Shofar as well. Click here to view a list of donations for September 2022.  In addition to using the funds to serve food in the building, we are donating funds to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank and the Anne Arundel Community College Student Food Bank.
