Shabbat and Weekly Services

Shabbat service will be held in person and via Zoom on Saturday, November 27, beginning at 9:30 AM. The Torah portion will be Parshat Vayeshev. Click here for the Zoom link.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MASKS ARE REQUIRED OF EVERYONE ATTENDING SHABBAT SERVICES IN PERSON, INCLUDING THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19.

A DRRS Family Service featuring Rhythm 'n' Ruach will be held on Friday, December 3, at 6:15 PM. Rhythm 'n' Ruach is an interactive experience through music, movement, and joyful Judaism. DRRS students and their families are encouraged to attend in person. All other members and guests are welcome to join us via Zoom (a link will be provided as the date draws closer). Kol Shalom Movie Night
Kol Shalom Movie Night will be presenting the 2003 G-rated, 90-minute movie Full Court Miracle by Zoom on the 7th night of Hannukah, Saturday, December 4, beginning at 6:30 PM.

Click here for more information about the film. This is a perfect movie for intergenerational sharing. For maximum enjoyment, we recommend that viewers have their menorah and a basketball nearby or in hand. Inspired by a true story.

Men's Club

The Men's Club will be sponsoring this year's Christmas Eve Dinner at the Chrysalis House. Please contact Gary Weinfeld at gweinfeld@verizon.net if you are interested in joining the Men's Club in visiting Chrysalis House along with the dinner donation on December 24th. Further details regarding timing will follow. Men's Club donations to support this catered dinner are welcome.
Women's League
The Kol Shalom Women's League has been actively seeking the best way to support the A.A. Co. Food Bank. We are very pleased to say that we welcomed so many suggestions on how to participate in the approaching season of giving. Oneg/Kiddush Fund: Although we are unable to serve Onegs and Kiddushes at the synagogue at this time, we are still able to recognize your occasions. It is with thanks that we acknowledge the donations made. Howard Salob reads the list at services each Shabbat and we publish the list in The Weekly Shofar as well. Click here for a list of donations for November. Until we are able to serve food again in the building we are donating half of the funds to the AA County Food Bank and the AACC Help Link Program.

Zentangle
The Zentangle Meditative Art class is held via Zoom on Wednesday mornings beginning at 10 AM. No art background needed or required. Please have the following items available: several sheets of copy paper, a no.2 sharpened pencil, a black pen with a fine tip and good ink flow, a Q-tip and a scissors (to cut out our drawing paper).

Miscellaneous
If you have an item you would like to include in the Weekly Shofar, please compose and e-mail your submission to the synagogue office (see e-mail address below) no later than the preceding Tuesday. Any items received after this time will be held for the following week's announcements.
