School News
Tree of Life Preschool: Tree of Life is truly FULL for the first time! We have no more room for bins in the hallway! This is a very exciting time for us, and the children are just having a blast! Our second play space on the side of the building has been evolving over the course of this school year. We added a fence around the air conditioners, a stage next to the storage shed, and several big logs for various purposes. This was all made possible by a grant from an anonymous Family Foundation. We are also working with another family to honor a very special grandmother by adding some special elements to our back yard… more coming on that soon as we finalize some decisions.

Daniel Rothman Religious School: Our very own Zoe Clarke is working on her Eagle Scout project and has selected Kol Shalom to be the recipient! She has planned and raised funds to add picnic tables to our back terrace. This will add another opportunity for outdoor learning and a new place for gathering to celebrate life moments throughout the year. We are very grateful for this gift.

DRRS has collected two trunk loads of food for the AA Co Food Bank. Every Sunday, the children bring food to donate and share an act of kindness that they performed during the previous week. These practices have raised awareness of mitzvot. Our children learn through repetition, expectations, and celebration. None of these steps need to be grand – they just need to happen with care. We are nurturing our next generation of CARING, and it is an honor to see the growth happening every week.

Oneg/Kiddush Fund: Although we are unable to serve Onegs and Kiddushes at the synagogue at this time, we are still able to recognize your occasions. It is with thanks that we acknowledge the donations made. Howard Salob reads the list at services each Shabbat and we publish the list in The Weekly Shofar as well. Click here to view a list of donations for January. Until we are able to serve food again in the building we are donating half of the funds to the AA County Food Bank and the AACC Help Link Program.
