Join Us for the Bill Kern Camping Experience: A Weekend of Fellowship and Adventure

FELLOWSHIP, ADVENTURE, SPIRITUAL GROWTH

SPC men, and young men, are invited to gather together in the outdoors for meaningful fellowship and outdoor activities experiencing a sampling of God’s inspirational creations. Our destination will be Camp Akita, located in Logan, Ohio (https://www.campakita.org/pages/about_us.aspx). We will depart on Saturday morning, April 12, first stopping at the Old Canal Smoke House in Chillicothe for an early BBQ lunch. SPC MISSIONS & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

"As you may have seen, severe weather, including numerous tornadoes, has impacted the Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Deep South this weekend, causing widespread destruction across many communities. In response to the urgent needs, Matthew 25: Ministries is mobilizing aid. Our Disaster Response Team is preparing to deploy to communities in Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia, with plans to expand as needed. We will also be shipping truckloads of essential supplies to our partners already engaged in recovery efforts.

We will need the support of our community to help to bring hope and help to those affected. Here’s how you can make a difference:

·         Organize a collection drive – Gather critical supplies such as personal care items, cleaning supplies, baby items, water, first aid supplies and more

·         Bring your group to volunteer at Matthew 25 to help sort and prepare supplies for this and future disasters.

·         Give financially to help support our efforts

·         Spread the word of our response efforts with your community, congregation or workplace

Thank you for your partnership and support as we help communities in need. Please follow our website (m25m.org) and social media for updates on our disaster relief efforts."

ITS NOT TO LATE TO SIGN UP FOR OUTREACH DAY!

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others (1 Peter 4:10)

SPC’s church-wide, cross-generational Ouϯreach Day is coming soon! A day to celebrate and serve our community. A time to come together to serve and spread God’s love.

We will begin our day at 8:00 with breakfast, fellowship, and prayer.

By 9:00, teams from SPC will be heading out to serve. This year SP has the opportunity to serve at the Center for Respite Care, Family Promise Warren County, Habitat Restore Loveland, Matthew 25 Ministries, NEEDS Food Pantry, New Life Furniture Thrift Store, New Life Furniture Warehouse, Operation Give Back in Blue Ash, SPCA on Conrey Road, and Symmes Township. Over 100 slots -opportunities- to serve.

Others will stay at church to serve! There will be a variety of activities which anyone of any age can enjoy doing from packing Blessing Bags -- to making dog blankets -- to prepping with See 3D models -- to making handmade greeting cards -- and more!

Those who are not able to attend will serve as our Faithful Prayer Warriors praying for all the organization and volunteers participating in SPC’s Ouϯreach Day.

No matter where you serve, we will all end our time together back at church (shortly after noon) for lunch, more time to fellowship, and to celebrate the joy of serving our wondrous God!!

You do not want to miss this amazing opportunity to serve!

It is easy to sign up online! You can access the Ouϯreach Day signup form at the SPC website, SPC Snapshot, SPC Facebook page, or by using the button below!:

DEACON OF THE MONTH - March 2025

This month's deacon is Pam Rogers (513.713.7139)

Being an SPC Deacon is a privilege and a blessing. As Deacons, we are given the opportunity to know SPC church members and friends in a deeper way, serving alongside them and growing in the understanding of the burdens people carry and how the church can help. Think of your Deacons as the "caregivers" of the congregation, and feel free to reach out to your Deacon of the Month if you need someone with whom to pray, have questions about the church, or just need an empathetic ear. Our "Cooks on Call" ministry is also available to provide a homemade meal following a surgery, serious illness, or passing of a loved one. We have been called to serve and are here for you.

The deadline for weekly submissions to the SNAPSHOT is Tuesdays before 12 noon. All requests received after the deadline will appear in the following week's publication. This deadline includes Sanctuary slides and requests for the use of a kiosk.

For organizational purposes, please email your information to Emily Rose. Requests and articles not received via email are at risk of not being fulfilled on time. Thank you!
