Seventy years ago, on November 11, 1956, ground was broken on a dream shared by 741 founding families from seven parishes — families who partnered with the Diocese of Joliet, the De La Salle Christian Brothers, the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters, and the Sisters of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary to build a co-institutional Catholic high school for the young men and women of our area.
That dream is now a nationally recognized, regionally top-ranked college preparatory school serving nearly 700 students from 65 ZIP codes. To honor our anniversary, we are moving our Day of Giving to November 11 — the date it all began.
You make St. Francis possible. Please save the new date to participate November 11, our Day of Giving, to help us carry our 70-year legacy -- seven decades of academic excellence and faithful service in the Francis Way -- boldly into the future.

The Francis Way represents SFHS' four core commitments: Nurturing Relationships, Serving Others, Seeking Wisdom and Encouraging Peace. Throughout our school community, we consistently see evidence of The Francis Way.
This week, we celebrate St. Francis High School's newest Kazma Foundation Scholars: Cyprian B., Robert H., Joseph R. and Elijah S., all Class of 2030! 💙
"We are incredibly grateful to the Kazma Family Foundation for recognizing and supporting our students," President Dawn Zoppa said. "Receiving the Kazma Scholarship is a meaningful affirmation of our students’ faith, dedication, and commitment to their Catholic education."
At the ceremony, we were especially fortunate to hear from St. Francis alumna and former Kazma Scholar Christine Jones '23, now attending Loyola University Chicago. She shared what this opportunity meant in her own life and offered a simple but powerful reminder: Education is an invisible gift, but it is a valuable one.
Congratulations! We hope you all keep seeking wisdom and living The Francis Way.

St. Francis H.S. Board of Directors members joined administrators, faculty, donors, City of Wheaton representatives, and others involved in the construction of our new parking lot to formally dedicate and bless the new lot located near the school's entrance. The event was the culmination of the Project Park Safely campaign, which covered the cost of the 105 new spots on campus.
The space, named the Nurture lot, represents one of the four Francis Way commitments: Nurturing Relationships. The remaining three campus lots are named accordingly: Wisdom (Seeking Wisdom), Serve (Serving Others) and Encourage (Encouraging Peace).
"There is a larger purpose behind these names," President Dawn Zoppa told those gathered. "Our campus can now tell the story of who we are. These values will surround everyone from the moment you arrive on campus."
