Weekly Seal Squeal
The Week of May 11th
This week's Hometown Hero has two parts!
Chelsey Fullerton, Natalie Binder, and Jill Cronin, three local Seal Beach mothers, threw around the idea of how they could support front line workers. Low and behold that same day, a friend of theirs posted about children with low immune systems in need groceries. That sparked the idea to get the ball rolling. They set out on a mission to get funds donated, so they could purchase food from local restaurants and pay it forward to frontline workers. They first sent a text message to friends and family, now its grown to its own Go Fund Me page.
First, they bought meals from Schooner or Later and served the Los Alamitos ICU. Next, they purchased Surfer Special's from El Burrito Jr. and delivered those to the front line workers at the local Seal Beach Pavilions. Today, they had the intent to purchase breakfast burritos from Nick's Deli of Seal Beach but Nick himself, generously donated all the breakfast burritos and the ladies delivered those to the Seal Beach Police Department this morning. Next on the list, is delivering the groceries to the children, the local post office, the district office and the local firestation. These three mothers in this Small Town Community have rallied to show support for our local frontline workers and it isn't stopping anytime soon! Great job Jill, Natalie and Chelsey! Nick's Deli has also remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic and vowed to support the Seal Beach locals during this uncertain time.
Nick's Deli can be found at 223 Main Street, Seal Beach or call and place your order at 562-598-5072! Remember to Shop and Support Local.
Also, joining in will be Congressman Harley Rouda!
