Shout Outs
  • To Rachel Ekker - a huge shout out for your service to Wooten. Thank you for sharing your talents, hard work and commitment to your students! Best of luck in your next steps.
  • Ed Edobar - thanks so much for joining us for summer camp trips and events. Learned so much from working with you. And our campers were so excited for any Mr. Ed day - knew you brought some extra fun and magic when you joined us. Thank you!
  • So appreciative of Claudia. Thanks for collaborating during the summer. Getting the chance to learn from your practice is such a privilege. And kids were so delighted by your treats! Thanks for sharing your magic!
  • Shoutout to Vee Abbey for being such a great help during summer camp. She is finishing out her second AMC term very strong and Cook has been lucky to have her for 2 school years!
One more chance to give feedback ...

Based on suggestions earlier this year, we announced that we are changing the name of the Apple Juice staff bulletin to Weekly Roundup this fall. Since then, we've had additional feedback that we should consider just The Apple instead of Apple Juice or Weekly Roundup.

The newsletter will be new & improved either way but click the link below to provide input before the final decision is made.

Thanks in advance for your time and thought on this.

Community Resources, News & Events
A graduate student from Texas State University is working with a faculty member in a research study: Proyecto MESA | The MESA Project. The goal is to interview 30 Latino parents from the community. They will use what they learn from the interviews to recommend changes to the government’s measure of food insecurity for Latino households. The idea is a better survey means better data and more evidence for making changes to policies and programs.
