ANSWER TO LAST WEEK'S QUESTION:
Where in Parshas Pekudei do we see that we shouldn't say "it's too hard for me to do"
Answer:
The following is from the Orchos Bitachon WhatsApp group:
The Posuk tells us in Parshas Pekudei Shmos 39:33)
וַיָּבִ֤יאוּ אֶתהַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ אֶל משֶׁ֔ה
Rashi tells us that nobody was able to erect the Mishkan, as it was too heavy, so they gave the task to Moshe Rabbeinu.
he also tried, but couldn't do it, so he turned to Hashem and said
אָמַר מֹשֶׁה לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֵיךְ אֶפְשָׁר הֲקָמָתוֹ עַל יְדֵי אָדָם
"How can a human do this?! it's just too heavy!"
To which Hashem responded:
אָמַר לוֹ עֲסֹק אַתָּה בְּיָדְךָ,וְנִרְאֶה כִּמְקִימוֹ וְהוּא נִזְקָף וְקָם מֵאֵלָיו
"You do your part. Put your hands there as if you are doing it, and I will do my part, and it erected itself!"
What a powerful lesson this is about how EVERYTHING IN LIFE WORKS!
We sometimes feel like a challenge is too overwhelming for us, or a task is impossible, or a situation is helpless...it's JUST TOO HEAVY A BURDEN TO BEAR.
Indeed, it may be so for US, but we need to do Hishtadlus, and let HASHEM do the rest.
Let Hashem do the heavy lifting!
HISHTADLUS - THAT'S OUR JOB
RESULTS- THAT'S HASHEM'S JOB!
Our Hishtadlus is NOT what causes results. We do it because Hashem commanded us to do it.
Hashem orchestrates results as He sees fit. It has NOTHING to do with our actual Hishtadlus.
Drill this concept into your heart and mind, as it is the bedrock of a life of BITACHON and MENUCHAS HANEFESH!
