Traffic Calming Plan: Back in September, the Council
approved an agreement with Marlin Engineering to develop a Village-wide Traffic Calming Plan. Since, the consultant held 3 separate district-specific meetings with residents to gather resident input, issued a village-wide online survey, and installed traffic counters throughout the Village to collect real time traffic data.
On Wednesday, July 5th, Marlin Engineering is holding the final Town Hall meeting with residents to present
their final recommendations for the overall traffic calming plan, which have also been approved by Miami-Dade County. Discussion and public input is welcomed.
Following this final discussion, the plan and its recommendations will come before the Village Council for final approval. However, any changes that come up based on the final Town Hall meeting will require county approval before being considered by the Village Council. A determination on project prioritization and funding options will be made during the budget process, based on the Village Council's direction.
We strongly encourage all residents to attend this important meeting and provide your input.
