Upcoming Town Hall Meetings: The Village of Palmetto Bay invites you to join us for a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, March 14 at 7:00 pm at Village Hall where land planner and architect, Victor Dover, FAICP, LEED-AP, CNU-ACCREDITED, will be making a presentation on revitalizing downtown streets and quality of life.  

Victor Dover serves as principal in charge for many of Dover, Kohl & Partners' design and planning projects. He has led more than 150 charrettes and lectures widely around the nation on the topics of livable communities and sustainable development. He was national chair of Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) from 2010-2012. He recently coauthored, with John Massengale, the bestselling book Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns. He has awarded the John Nolen Medal for contributions to urbanism, and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami.

Frank Guyamier, Deputy Director of Miami Dade County Department of Transportation and Executive Director, Aileen Bouclee of Miami Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, March 16 at 7:00 pm at Village Hall to discuss several important topics concerning mobility and transit in our community. Following discussion and public input, Planning and Zoning Director, Travis Kendall will provide a presentation on Downtown Palmetto Bay.

In a separate meeting, Chairman Esteban L. Bovo, Jr., (District 13) of Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, April 20 at 7:00 pm at Village Hall to discuss mass transit and answer any questions from residents.


Traffic Calming and Redirection Plan: Our traffic engineering firm, Marlin Engineering, has concluded the preliminary data collection phase for the completion of our Village-wide Traffic Calming and Redirection Plan and invites you to attend public traffic meetings to review the data collected and discuss these findings through public input. The meeting dates are as follows: 
  • District 1 Residents (SW 136 Street south to SW 152 Street, including all of Royal Harbor Yacht Club and Paradise Point) on Tuesday, April 4, 2017
  • District 2 Residents (SW 152 Street, excluding all of Royal Harbor Yacht Club and Paradise Point, extending south to SW 168 Street) on Tuesday, April 18, 2017
  • District 3 Residents (SW 168 Street extending south to SW 184 Street): on Tuesday, April 11, 2017

The Public Traffic Meetings for Districts 1, 2, and 3 will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Village Hall.
