WEEKLY TRAFFIC CALMING UPDATE
WEEK OF 11/18/16

The temporary speed humps on SW 72 Avenue between SW 152 Street and SW 156 Street have been removed and have now been installed on SW 90 Avenue between 170 Street and 172 Terrace.

Installation of the permanent speed tables on 86 Avenue between SW 172 Street and SW 174 Street, and 94 Avenue between SW 180 Street and SW 184 Street are expected to be completed by early next week  

Beginning on Monday, November 21, 2016,  Williams Paving Company will start the installation of 3 permanent speed tables on on SW 148th Street between US-1 and SW 87th Avenue. Removal of the temporary speed humps on SW 163 Terrace between 84 Avenue and 87 Avenue will also take place on Monday. New temporary speed humps will be installed on SW 91 Avenue between 164 Street and 168 Street by month's end.

Temporary closures and delays can be expected. Please use caution when driving in these areas.

Residents are invited to meet with the Village's traffic engineer to discuss traffic issues within your district.

  • District 3 Residents: December 08, 2016 from 7-9 pm at Village Hall
  • District 2 Residents: December 15, 2016 from 7-9 pm at Village Hall
  • District 1 Residents: December 20, 2016 from 7-9 pm at Village Hall

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE
VICE MAYOR RUNOFF ELECTION 


In-person voting for the Vice Mayor runoff election is Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 7 am to 7 pm. See list of open precincts. Vote-By-Mail ballots may be returned to the Miami Dade Elections Department at 2700 NW 87th Avenue by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016. A drop-off box option for Vote-By-Mail ballots is also available at Village Hall, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street until 10:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 21, 2016. Bring proof of identification with your Vote-By-Mail ballot. You can track your Vote-By-Mail ballot here.
