Weekly Traffic Tip Sheet

  • Beginning Monday, April 3, Colonial Pipeline needs to conduct maintenance work on their underground pipeline that crosses High Point Road. The project will involve closing a portion of High Point Road to through traffic, from Forest Valley Road to High Brook Drive. Residents will have access to their driveways during the construction period.  Colonial expects construction to be completed within 5 days

  • City Springs:  Crews are installing a sanitary line, which runs down the middle of the street. During work hours (9am--4pm), Johnson Ferry and Sandy Springs Circle will reduce to 1 lane northbound and 1 lane southbound.  We will maintain two lanes northbound beginning at 4 pm to accommodate the afternoon peak travel time

  • On Wednesday, April 12, to support the pedestrian bridge installation on Windsor Parkway, there will be intermittent lane closures on Windsor Parkway and Northland Drive and flagmen will help direct traffic.
  Interstate projects:
  • I-285:  One right lane will close on I-285 eastbound from Riverside Drive, eastward to Ashford Dunwoody Road from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

  • I-85 Collapse:  Demolition begins this weekend to remove approximately 700 feet of roadway on I-85 (350 feet northbound and 350 feet southbound), including the bridge support columns.  I-85 at Piedmont Rd. will remain closed until repairs are made.  Updates on the I-85 repair project can be found here.

I hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend and enjoys our beautiful weather!
