Since last week a transition section has been added on the Holy Cross website. You'll find it at the far right of the main menubar. In addition to a landing page, there are multiple links in the dropdown menu.
By clicking on "Transition" to access the landing page you'll find the following prayer:
Gracious and loving God, we pray for this parish of Holy Cross, our vestry,
and all who are serving on the Search Committee. Guide us all that we may
be patient in our discernment, steadfast in our commitment, and imaginative about our future. As we journey through the days ahead with expectancy, and at times unease, help us to recall your faithful presence, your deep compassion, and your abiding love. We thank you for the gifts, talents, and skills with which you have blessed us. Be with us as we move forward rejoicing in the Spirit and supporting one another. Bless us that we may continue to make Christ visible in God’s community. All this we ask
in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The dropdown menu includes the following at this time:
- Transition News Archive - a expanding collection of these e-newsletters.
- Transition Minute Archive - an expanding collection of our videos.
- Prayers & Reflections - a growing collection from the Book of Common prayer and other sources.
- FAQ - Includes a link through which you can submit a question.
- Vestry's Charge to the Search Committee -
This is a work in progress. As we move through the transition period, look for these pages to will grow and expand. And, if you have a suggestion for something that might be added to the Transition web pages, please send us an email
As we journey towards our future together, pray for our church, the vestry, our priests, those who will serve on the search committee, and all clergy who may eventually respond to our search. With God's help, this process will lead us to the next chapter in our life as Christ's community known as Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Simpsonville, SC.
Church members who do not have an email account or do not have access
to a computer, may contact Jennifer in the church office to obtain a printed
