A Reminder of School Hours

This is a reminder that school begins at 8:00 AM. The first bell rings at 7:55 AM and all students are expected to be in their first-period class by 8:00 AM. Every Tuesday is a 9:30 AM late start. You can find details of Trinity schedules and the tardy policy in the Trinity Handbook.
Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences
Thursday, September 16 from 1:00 to 8:30 pm 

On Thursday, September 16 there is a 12:00 pm dismissal for all students. Parents may schedule brief (10 minutes) virtual (via Zoom) conferences with any or all of their student’s teachers between the hours of 1:00 and 8:30 pm. The appointments will be scheduled through an online platform called “Pick-a-Time.” The scheduling window will open on September 8, and be closed on September 14. You will receive an email on Wednesday, September 8 with a Pick-a-Time link to schedule your appointments. On Wednesday, September 15 teachers will email Zoom links out to the parents who have scheduled conferences with them.
Club Fair at Trinity

Class of 2022 Kairos
Seniors are invited to participate in a very special retreat called Kairos! The Kairos retreat invites students to set intentional time away from their busy schedules in order to encounter God, build community with each other, and reflect on their gifts and values. The Kairos retreat will take place from Thursday, December 9 to Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Loyola University Chicago Retreat and Ecology Campus in Woodstock, IL. The cost to attend is $200, which covers transportation, lodging, meals, and supplies. Financial scholarships are available and the scholarship application can be found here. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is Sunday, September 19. Sign ups for the retreat will be released on September 25 after families are notified regarding scholarships.

This will be a VIRTUAL event and we will be joined by Mr. Jerry Cebrynzski, Associate Vice-President for Financial Aid at Lake Forest College.
Student participation is required and parents are encouraged to join us! Additional information will be sent ahead of the event.

College Visits are Returning to Trinity!
During September and October, all Trinity students will have the opportunity to connect with colleges and universities from across the United States as college admissions officers are welcomed back to Trinity High School. Visits will take place during 3A/3B in the Small Gym, with some virtual visits also available on Tuesdays during Late Start. Students can find information about upcoming visits in the Daily Announcements.
Class of 2023 & 2024 Families
The River Forest Public Library is hosting a free Zoom college planning series. "Paying for College without Going Broke" will be held on 9/8 at 7 p.m. Register in advance at https://bit.ly/riverforest8. The second webinar in the series, "Grants, Scholarships & Loans," will be held on 10/13 at 7:00 p.m.  Register in advance at https://bit.ly/riverforest13.  These webinars will uncover the best college cost-reduction and admission strategies and reveal little-known financial aid methods.

Admissions Season Begins!
This week Trinity kicks off the 2021-22 admissions season! Join us as a Trinity Parent Ambassador throughout the year by encouraging #FutureBlazers to attend Trinity events, shadow days, and ultimately test with us in December.
