PS - a few housekeeping items for tomorrow:
If your daughter is on campus:
Lunch Circle Welcome back
Our students will begin the 2020-21 year in their lunch circles. All students have received an email from their lunch circle moderator with the location where they will be meeting. If for some reason your student did not receive the email, after she completes her health screening, she can stop by the front office and our school registrar can tell her where she needs to report.
Student schedules
In their lunch circles all students will receive a hard copy of their schedule for block one. The schedules will include the locations for each of their classes. If your daughter has an open space in her schedule, she can visit the registrar in the front office who will help her. As a reminder, for block one we are making very limited schedule changes, and only for academic purposes.
If your daughter is joining us remotely:
Zoom links for eLearners
All teachers have updated their Google Classrooms for each subject they teach. The Google classroom is the way that teachers will communicate with all eLearners. At the beginning of each period eLearners should log into their teacher's Google classroom. There they will find a link to that period's Zoom session. By clicking on the link they will be present in the classroom. elearners are required to have both video and audio enabled during the entire length of each block period, unless the teacher instructs otherwise.
eLearners please be patient with our tech set up
We have been working around the clock to make sure that our school is ready for both our in-person and eLearners. Our number one goal on Monday August 24, with our shortened bell schedule, is to welcome back all of our students - both in person and at home.
If, however, on Monday an eLearner is unable to connect with their teacher via Zoom, she should not panic. Additionally, if she has difficulty hearing the teacher, she should reach out to the teacher on the Zoom chat. In either instance, at the end of the session, she should email the teacher and let them know that she attempted to log in or had difficulty hearing. There is no reason to call the main office to report technical difficulties. The teachers are working hard to make sure that they can successfully connect with everyone, and will remedy the problems as soon as they are able. Thank you in advance for your patience with this new learning format.
