Happy Friday, Cornerstone Family! This Sunday, Pastor Sheldon is continuing in our series, Grace, with a message on John 3:1-8. We look forward to seeing you at Cornerstone at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. online!

We have exciting news to share: we exceeded our $5,000 goal for our $50 Challenge! Thank you for participating in putting the gospel in the hands of people who've never heard it before. Once the New Testament in Bengali is created, we plan to purchase one so we can show the congregation. Thank you again for your generosity!

Eagle Lake Summer Day Camp is our May Mission Focus and there are many ways for you to participate! Whatever you decide to do, we hope you partner with us to make camp the best week of each camper's summer! Here are specific ways you can participate:

1. Serve During Camp (Two Options):

• Host Home: Sign up to host a minimum of 2 Eagle Lake counselors at your house for 6 nights and provide them 2 meals per day
• At Camp: Sign up to serve in a supporting role during camp 

2. Donate Food Items Before Camp

• Sign up to donate food items that will feed the Eagle Lake Counselors during our weeks of camp
• Donations will be accepted in between services during the months of May and June

3. Sponsor a Camper

• Donate financially so all kids have an opportunity to attend camp (choose "Eagle Lake Camp Scholarship Fund" in the dropdown menu)

Tonight's the night! Here's a breakdown of our May Parents' Night Out:

• 109 kids are anticipating a fun night of food, games, crafts and a bounce house!
• 44 parents are anticipating an evening to recharge and rejuvenate!
• 35 volunteers are helping make this event a success!

Would you take a minute to pray for Parents' Night Out? Pray that the parents' are able to feel recharged, that the kids have a fun time and that God is glorified through it all. Thank you for your prayers!

Time to start reading! The next Cornerstone Classics book club meeting is coming up! Their June book is The Holiness of God by R.C. Sproul. They’ll gather online on Monday, June 12th at 7:00PM to discuss this classic Christian book. Sign up below!

Life is fraught with difficulties, hurts, and disappointments. Heart wounds and trauma from the past can have devastating effects long after they have occurred. They make us feel hopeless and helpless and we often want to turn or run away from the pain. But Jesus never took that path, and neither can His followers. Wounds that are not healed remain to fester often leaving us in a crisis of faith or experiencing a barrier to trust in God's goodness.

Trusting God with Our Heart Wounds will explore wounds of trauma and loss bringing them to Christ for healing. Using curriculum from American Bible Society's Trauma Healing Institute Ministry, we will learn biblical principles and mental health best practices related to trauma care and healing.

Topics we will address include:

• If God loves us, why do we suffer?
• How to support others who are suffering trauma, grief, or loss.
• What is a heart wound and its effects.
• What happens when someone is grieving?
• How can we forgive others?
