Weekly Update
John Thornburg
Headmaster
Dear Parents,

Our leadership team has been working hard to create a strong, best-practices model for distance learning. The new schedule and protocol will begin on Monday, April 6.

I will be hosting a Distance Learning - New Academic Schedule Webinar tonight, April 1 at 6 PM to review the changes with parents. Click here to register for the webinar. Our Principals will then host webinars this Friday to prepare the students for the new program as well.

I sent an email to families today and also included several important school documents in this Weekly Update to respond to many of the questions we received during last Thursday's webinar. This includes the new Student Distance Learning Protocol, revised School Calendar, revisions for underclassmen Christian Service requirements and a Parent Q&A. Keep checking the MC Distance Learning page on the website for the most recent Malden Catholic content and information.

None of us know exactly how long we will be in quarantine or what the future holds, so my new Headmaster Reflection was written to help us all consider the role fear sometimes play in our lives. Living in the moment, turning to faith and recognizing how we contribute to self-imposed worries are some simple ways to keep fear in check.

Thank you for your prayers and support,

John K. Thornburg
