Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

I want to thank each family for their support the past several weeks as we have moved to distance learning. I realize that this "homeschool" model is not what we expected to during the month of March and April, but our community has risen to the occasion to embrace and continue to support each other. Our faculty has done an outstanding job making sure students receive direct instruction and our school year continues forward in a strong and effective manner. Our students have been diligent to remain engaged and finish the year the best way possible. It is my prayer that over spring break the Lord grant us rest, peace and safety. Our entire Malden Catholic school community has been putting forth an effort that is above and beyond (Plus Ultra) and we have earned a well deserved rest.

Our leadership team has also been working on providing more opportunities for our students to connect outside of class through our Friday Funday series. Every Friday, we will host an activity and selfie contest to add some enjoyment and levity to the school year. We also have kicked-off our MC Sunshine Club designed to help MC families in need. More information regarding these programs can be found below.

Thank you for your prayers and support,

John K. Thornburg

Information for All
Our MC Heroes
Malden Catholic would like to acknowledge the act of Plus Ultra from all first responders and frontliners. Dennis Cataldo '86, Vice President of Cataldo Ambulance and President of MA Ambulance Association, sent assistance to New York City to help battle the COVID-19 virus.

“We have 800 staff, and I fear for all of them. [This presents] more responsibility than one might want to have at the moment, but that is what makes everyone in healthcare and EMS different, when everyone wants to run from a crisis, we all are there to run in.”
COVID-19 Webinars Available
With the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus, there are now webinars to help you understand the science of the disease, why social distancing is important and emerging treatments to help fight this virus.

These webinars are led by a panel of four expert doctors and hospital directors.
