Pastor’s Prayer Partners Petitions
A Prayer In A Time of Conflict
Conflict is a part of life. Since the fall into sin, back in the Garden of Eden, conflict reared its ugly head. Adam blamed Eve for the eating of the forbidden fruit. Eve blamed the devil. They both ran and hid from the God who lovingly created them.
Conflict is evident in each of our lives. Husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, bosses and employees, management and union—all find themselves in conflict at one time or another. Sometimes the conflict is about power. Sometimes it’s about resources. Sometimes it’s about jealousy. It’s always about sinful people.
We find our American society engulfed in conflict. Besides the normal causes of daily conflict, things like COVID-19 and cultural unrest have added to the challenges of life. Whatever the cause of conflict, it is important that we approach it with faith in the Lord and love for all people.
Use this prayer for peace in this time of conflict:
Heavenly Father, thank You for our nation. We pray for governmental leaders, that their decisions would be made with wisdom from above. We pray for those who exercise their right to protest, that they would make their voices heard with love for all. We pray for those who keep order, that they would be patient as well as vigilant. Teach each of us the importance of loving and respecting one another. I pray this in the name of Your Son, our Savior, who sacrificed Himself that we would have life abundant in any and every situation. Amen.
    Thanks for your partnership,

          Pastor Raasch

  PRAYING FOR YOURSELF
Reflect on what is on your heart and mind and take it to God in prayer.

Is there something we can pray about for you?
Praying for One Another
  • All who battle cancer, including Cindy Steffen, Dick Rupert, Wayne Kokta, Gary Bergin, Kathy Schmidt, Jim Melichar and Pastor Joel Brandt.  Pray that the Lord would bless their treatments, relieve their pain and strengthen them and their families in faith.
  • Betty Twietmeyer, Ron Grob, Julie Taylor, Tom Zahn, Dick Larson, Jim Ruppel,  Scott Rank and Tom Giordano as they contend with ongoing health issues. Pray for their medical teams, that God would bless them and use them as His instruments of healing.
  • Lori Rosenberg, who received a heart. Pray that this transplant would provide her a return to daily life activities. Ask the Lord for patience during this time and that her body would accept this heart.

PRAYING FOR FIL MINISTRIES & OTHERS

A Place of Refuge Ministries is a network of volunteers who are committed to life and to caring for women facing crisis pregnancy in South Wisconsin. Through our Advocacy Program our volunteers:
·  REACH women with needs during pregnancy.
·  RECEIVE them into God's care through His people.
·  REFER them to community resources available for their physical and emotional care.
·  RESPOND by sharing God's love for us in His Son Jesus Christ.
·  REJOICE in the opportunity to share the gospel and share in the joy of a baby born.

MISSION OF THE MONTH
STEPHEN MINISTRY MOMENT
“The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble.” Psalm 37:39 “Let me care for you.” Those words can bring a sigh of relief to a person going through a difficult time in life. A Stephen Minister is willing and able to care for you by listening and being there while you work through this tough time. If you decide this kind of care is for you, call Pastor Reichmann at 377-6610.  He will help you decide whether or not a Stephen Minister would be a good move for you. A care receiver need not be a member of First Immanuel or River of Life.
Remembering the Past, Supporting the Future
New always brings memories of the old. For decades, students and teachers gathered at First Immanuel in a building that is now a memory. But it has paved the way for new generations to learn and grow in faith in Christ.Remembering the past is a wonderful way for us also to support the future. We want to give you the opportunity to do both.

A local artist (and pastor's wife), Sherry Luhman, has painted a custom watercolor print that we will be using to raise funds for our Guardian Angel program.Guardian Angel is a fund that has been established to help families in need attend First Immanuel Lutheran School. These are available for purchase; they will make wonderful Christmas gifts, remembrances for teachers, alumni, and members.

Not only will you get beautiful, one-of-a-kind art, you will be supporting the education of future generations of First Immanuel Lutheran School, as 2/3 of all proceeds will go directly to benefit students in need.

Use this  form to place an order.
8 x 10 Print - 1 for $30, 2 or more $25 each
